Apache Leap Days were set to celebrate the pioneers of mining history
The weekend of March 17,18,19. marcked this years Mining Festival.
Kicking off with the events on Friday night were The Traditional Superior Chamber Of Commerce-sponsored
tribute to "History Of Mining:Pioneers to the Future'" which featured a parade on Saturday morning, a mining competition,
food,fun, and entertainment and events and a Carnaval.
Superior's very own Arnold Martinez returned to his home town to provide music Saturday night with his band
Breaking Point , and also known through out superior from the diffrent bands he has played with, playing drums for him kearny's
very own Johnny Solis.
This years parade was sponsered by the Superior Optimist Club, The theme for the parade was "The History
Of mining: Pioneers Of The Future."
